Ask about internal door spraying →Internal doors, MDF media walls, bespoke joinery, furniture, radiators and specialist components—professionally prepared and spray finished at SprayMasters' Derby HQ.
Some work should never be attempted in a dusty garage, on a driveway or with a brush. Our Derby workshop gives removable doors, panels, furniture and components the controlled preparation and application they deserve.
Homeowners can bring individual items or a complete set. Joinery firms, carpenters and contractors can use SprayMasters as their local finishing department—without investing in a booth, coating stock or specialist staff.
From one carefully restored feature to repeat joinery batches, every job begins with the substrate—not a one-paint-fits-all promise.

Good internal oak doors are expensive. If the natural oak no longer works with a newly decorated interior, professional spraying can be a far better decision than replacing an entire houseful.
Straight answer: spraying oak a solid colour does not automatically remove its natural grain. Grain remains part of the surface unless a separate grain-filling specification is agreed.
Preparation changes according to MDF, timber, metal, laminate or an existing coating. The principle never changes: identify the surface, build the correct system and allow it to cure properly.
Material, condition, contamination, previous coatings, damage and intended use are checked before a system is recommended.
Components are dismantled where required, then cleaned, keyed, repaired and prepared for reliable coating adhesion.
MDF edges, timber tannins, metal and difficult substrates receive primers or isolators appropriate to their risks.
Selected topcoats are spray applied in controlled coats for uniform colour, coverage and sheen without brush marks.
Work is checked under proper lighting, allowed to cure and protected for collection or delivery back to the customer.
SprayMasters partners with joinery firms, carpenters, cabinet makers, media-wall builders, interior designers and fit-out contractors that need a reliable local spray-finishing department.
Bring one bespoke commission or discuss regular production. We can agree colours, sheen, preparation standards, labelling and realistic turnaround before the components enter the workshop.
Your customer remains your customer. We provide confidential subcontract finishing and do not use a trade partner's enquiry as an opportunity to bypass them.
These are genuine SprayMasters projects—not AI renders and not somebody else's portfolio.
A proper coatings company must also know when to say no.
Silicone contamination, furniture polish, wax, oil, failing previous coatings, water-damaged MDF and unstable substrates can all affect the result. Photographs help us start the conversation, but some items require inspection or a test area before we can confirm the system.
We will explain whether an item is suitable, what preparation is required and what the finished surface will—and will not—hide. That is how durable work is specified.
Perkins Yard is off Mansfield Road in Derby, close to Pentagon Island and the A52/A61 road network. Customers can arrange to bring removable items directly to the workshop.
Give us enough detail to assess the substrate, preparation, transport and likely workshop slot. We will come back with straight answers—not a meaningless instant price generated by a calculator.
Common workshop projects include internal doors, MDF media-wall components, radiator covers, furniture, fitted-wardrobe doors, tables, chairs, radiators, cabinet doors, bath panels, joinery and suitable metal or architectural components. Send photographs, approximate dimensions and the quantity first so suitability and handling can be assessed.
Yes, many sound oak internal doors can be professionally prepared and sprayed in a solid colour. Existing oils, waxes, varnishes and tannin risks must be identified first. The oak grain will usually remain visible unless a separate grain-filling finish is specified.
Yes. New MDF media walls, cabinets, shelves and doors can be spray finished, either as removable workshop components or with an agreed combination of workshop and onsite work. Raw MDF edges require proper sealing, priming and flattening to achieve a high-end result.
Yes. SprayMasters offers trade spray finishing for joiners, carpenters, cabinet makers, media-wall companies, designers and fit-out contractors. One-off commissions and repeat batches can be discussed, including sample approval, component labelling, colour consistency and collection.
Suitable radiators can be sprayed in a coating colour matched to a Farrow & Ball reference, as well as RAL, NCS and British Standard colours. The coating system is selected for the radiator material and service conditions; the use of a colour reference does not mean Farrow & Ball-branded paint is being applied.
Collection and redelivery may be available around Derby and surrounding areas. Cost and practicality depend on the item's size, weight, fragility, access and distance. Customers and trade partners may also arrange their own transport to Unit 3, Perkins Yard.

Turnaround depends on quantity, preparation, repairs, coating specification and the workshop schedule. SprayMasters will provide a realistic programme after assessing the project. Coated items also need appropriate curing time before normal use; dry enough to handle is not the same as fully cured.
Send clear photographs, approximate dimensions, quantity, your preferred colour and postcode. We will tell you whether the item is suitable and what happens next.
