Keep the frames. Change the whole character of the property.
Professional uPVC window and door spraying for homeowners who want a sharp, durable finish without replacing sound frames. Careful preparation, controlled application and a written guarantee on qualifying systems.
uPVC spraying is only as good as the preparation beneath it.
Window frames and doors collect silicone residue, traffic film, polish, algae and years of airborne contamination. Spraying over that is the fast route to poor adhesion. Our system begins with inspection, detailed cleaning and controlled surface preparation before any colour is applied.
We work on suitable uPVC windows, entrance doors, conservatories, fascias, soffits and selected garage doors across Nottingham, Derby and nearby towns. Every quotation is based on the actual condition, access and construction of the property.
- Detailed masking to protect glass, brickwork, seals and surrounding finishes
- Substrate-appropriate adhesion system and professional spray application
- RAL, BS and selected matched colours, with sheen agreed before work starts
- Clear aftercare guidance and honest advice where replacement is the better answer

One coating standard across every visible element.
A coherent exterior looks considered. We can scope a single entrance door or coordinate frames and architectural details across the property.
Window frames
Exterior-facing uPVC frames, including fixed and opening sections, prepared and masked around glass and seals.
Doors
uPVC entrance doors and suitable composite doors, with hardware and glazing carefully protected or removed where appropriate.
Conservatories
Frames, doors and selected trims refinished as a coordinated system, subject to safe access and substrate condition.
Fascias & soffits
Sound uPVC roofline elements can be assessed as part of a wider exterior colour transformation.
Garage doors
Selected coated metal and uPVC garage doors, inspected first so the correct preparation route is specified.
Commercial frames
Retail, office and managed-property frames with practical phasing and UK-wide commercial capability.
Five stages between “before” and a finish worth keeping.
Assess
Photos or a survey establish access, frame condition, sealant details, repairs and the most suitable coating route.
Clean
We remove surface dirt and contamination that ordinary decorating preparation can leave behind.
Prepare
Surfaces are keyed and treated as required. Unsuitable or failed areas are discussed before coating begins.
Mask & spray
Glass, seals, walls and hardware are protected before controlled coats build the colour and finish.
Inspect
Masking is removed carefully, edges are checked and you receive practical curing and aftercare advice.
Timescale: many smaller projects can be completed in a day. Larger elevations, conservatories, complex access and repair work take longer. Your quotation will set the expected programme.
Anthracite is popular. It is not the only considered choice.
RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey remains a frequent request, but softer greys, deep greens, black, off-white and property-specific colours can create a more individual result. We will help you consider brick tone, roofline, glazing, neighbouring elements and the age of the property before confirming a colour.
We also assess the frames themselves. Spraying changes colour and surface appearance; it does not repair failed glazing units, warped frames, perished seals or structural faults. Where those issues make replacement more sensible, we will say so.
A useful decision, not a blanket sales pitch.
| Consideration | Professional spraying | Full replacement |
|---|---|---|
| Best suited to | Sound, secure frames that need a colour and finish transformation | Failed units, structural faults, major specification changes or poor thermal performance |
| Disruption | Usually limited; frames remain in place and work is phased around the property | Frames are removed and new units installed, often involving making good |
| Design freedom | Wide colour choice without discarding serviceable frames | Opportunity to change frame style, opening configuration and glazing specification |
| Waste | Retains suitable existing materials | Removes and replaces the full units |

uPVC spraying questions.
How much does uPVC spraying cost?
Cost depends on the number and size of frames, opening sections, access, repairs, masking complexity and colour change. Photos plus a postcode are usually enough for an initial guide; a survey may be needed before a fixed quotation.
How long does uPVC spraying take?
Many small door or window projects can be completed in a day. A full house, conservatory, difficult access or remedial preparation will take longer. We agree the likely programme before booking.
Can white uPVC be sprayed anthracite grey?
Yes, where the uPVC is sound and suitable. Anthracite Grey RAL 7016 is a popular choice, but we can discuss many RAL, BS and selected matched colours.
Will the coating peel?
Durability depends on substrate condition, contamination removal, preparation, coating compatibility and correct application. We use a professional system and provide up to a 10-year written guarantee on qualifying work; the precise cover is confirmed with the quotation.
Do you spray the seals and glass?
No. Glass, seals and surrounding surfaces are protected so the coating is applied to the intended frame or door surfaces. The exact masking route depends on the unit design.
Can damaged or failed windows be sprayed?
Cosmetic marks may be repairable, but spraying does not correct failed glazing, warped frames, water ingress or structural problems. We will flag issues that should be repaired or replaced first.
Do you cover both Nottingham and Derby?
Yes. Residential uPVC spraying is available across Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas, subject to project scope and access. We also deliver commercial spraying nationwide.
Send clear photos. Get a considered answer.
Include your postcode, the number of windows or doors, the colour you have in mind and close-ups of any damage or failed finish. We will advise on suitability, next steps and whether a survey is needed.
