How much does kitchen spraying cost in Nottingham?

Most professional kitchen transformations fall between approximately £1,500 and £7,000. Size matters, but material, existing damage, failing vinyl, previous coatings, detailed profiles, islands and the surfaces included can alter the preparation far more than a simple door count suggests.

Kitchen type Typical scope Standard guide 20% promotional guide
CompactSmall kitchen or utility Sound condition, straightforward doors, drawers and agreed fixed cabinetry £1,875–£2,250 £1,500–£1,800
Most commonTypical family kitchen Normal preparation, minor repairs, fixed units and removable components £2,250–£3,375 £1,800–£2,700
LargeKitchen with island More doors, detailed panels, island, extra end panels or utility area £3,375–£5,000 £2,700–£4,000
ComplexRepair-heavy or extra-large Vinyl removal, damaged MDF, existing coating failure or extensive detail £5,000–£8,750+ £4,000–£7,000+

These are guidance ranges, not a bait-and-switch fixed price. Send photographs and your Nottingham postcode so we can assess the actual substrate, condition and scope. Promotional pricing applies only while the advertised offer remains available.

Why two similar kitchens can cost differently

The visible size is only half the story.

Substrate and construction

Solid timber, veneer, MDF, melamine, high-gloss acrylic and vinyl-wrapped doors require different preparation and primer systems. Oak grain remains visible unless grain filling is separately specified.

Existing condition

Water-damaged MDF, chipped edges, delamination, grease contamination and weak previous coatings require repair or removal before a reliable finish can be built.

Layout and detail

Islands, glazed units, open shelving, intricate mouldings, cornices, plinths and multiple colours increase masking, preparation and application time.

Optional upgrades

Failing vinyl removal, internal cabinet spraying, extensive grain filling, worktop coatings and tile refinishing are priced separately when required. Handle redrilling is available from £7 per door or drawer, subject to construction and filling.

The Spray Masters method

From five photographs to a properly refinished kitchen.

Photo assessment

Send three to six photographs, close-ups of damage, the postcode and approximate door and drawer count.

Scope and survey

We identify likely materials, repairs, colour, sheen and what must be completed onsite or at the workshop.

Prepare and spray

Components are cleaned, repaired, sanded, primed and finished using the system selected for the substrate.

Refit and care

Doors and drawers are returned, aligned and inspected. Full coating resistance normally develops over 21–28 days.

Respray versus replacement

Keep the kitchen that works. Change the kitchen you see.

When the cabinet layout and structure remain sound, replacement can be an expensive answer to a colour or finish problem. A professional respray keeps the useful foundations while avoiding much of the demolition, waste and multi-trade disruption of a full replacement.

  • Existing storage and layout can remain in place
  • Plumbing, electrics, flooring and worktops usually remain undisturbed
  • Far less material is removed and sent for disposal
  • Thousands of professional colour references are available
  • Most projects are completed in roughly one working week

Honest caveat: if the carcasses are structurally unsound or the layout no longer works, replacement may be the better investment. We would rather say that than coat a bad foundation.

Kitchen spraying Nottingham FAQs.

What is the average kitchen respray price in Nottingham?

A typical family kitchen commonly falls within the £1,800–£2,700 promotional guide shown above. The final quotation depends on size, material, repairs, vinyl condition, previous coatings, detail and the surfaces included.

How long does a kitchen respray take?

Most complete transformations take approximately five to seven working days. Complex, repair-heavy or extra-large kitchens may take longer.

Do I need to empty my cupboards?

Cupboards do not normally need to be emptied because openings are protected. Worktop items, fragile objects and anything obstructing access should be moved before onsite preparation.

Can you spray gloss, laminate or melamine kitchens?

Many can be refinished successfully after proper decontamination, controlled abrasion and a suitable adhesion-promoting primer. The exact construction and existing finish must be assessed first.

What happens if the vinyl is peeling?

Unstable vinyl should not simply be painted over. Where suitable, it is removed and the MDF beneath is repaired, stabilised and primed before spraying. This additional labour affects the quotation.

Can you spray solid oak kitchen cabinets?

Yes. Natural grain generally remains visible unless grain filling is separately specified. Knots, oils and resin-prone areas may require an isolating or blocker primer.

Is the kitchen respray guaranteed?

Written guarantees of up to 10 years are available on qualifying systems. Exact cover depends on the substrate, existing condition, preparation and agreed coating specification and is stated in the quotation.

How do I get an accurate price?

Send clear photographs, the Nottingham postcode, approximate door and drawer quantities, close-ups of damage or peeling vinyl and your preferred colour. We can then provide useful initial guidance and arrange a survey where required.
